Letter from the Director – February 2012

Dear Friends,

I’m delighted to report CMEE is having a fantastic new year thanks to all of you who visited and became members so far this year. In fact, the Museum’s attendance in January was our best ever. Thank you, as well to everyone who offered to adopt Jettie, the puppy who had been rescued by Last Chance and had spent the past two weeks at CMEE welcoming visitors and playing with children. Having Jettie at the Museum enabled Last Chance to highlight their efforts to find new homes for animals that are scheduled to be euthanized while helping CMEE uphold its mission of promoting learning through play. Jettie is scheduled to move in with her new family this weekend!

As you’ll see in this month’s Newsletter, there is plenty of activity at CMEE in February, starting tomorrow with “Pizza and Pajama Night” and followed by our “Get Creative” and storytelling workshops, winter vacation programming, and annual “CMEE in the City” fundraiser.

We’ve started planning our programming for the spring and summer and we’re eager to hear your input. Please take a few moments to provide your feedback online by clicking here. Your help is instrumental to us as we assess our community interests and needs, and plan for the future.

Thank you again for your help and support of CMEE. I hope to see you at the Museum soon!

Sincerely,

Stephen Long
Executive Director
