It was wonderful to see hundreds of people come out on Columbus Day weekend for the liftoff of CMEE’s capital campaign at our annual Rocket Day Festival. Thank you to Town Councilmember, Bridget Fleming for being on hand to launch the ceremonial CMEE bottle rocket. You can read more about the Rocket Day festivities in the Southampton Press and Sag Harbor Express.
As we move past the halfway point on our way toward achieving our $2 million goal, the Museum is launching a special “Campaign for CMEE” section of our website, which will feature news and information about the campaign plans and the campaign’s major donors.
CMEE has a full calendar of kids events scheduled for November. For example, we are starting a new Baby and Me program that enables members of the Museum with children age 2 to 16 months to visit the Museum for free on Tuesdays.
CMEE is also hosting two events at the Museum for grownups who represent communities that are very important to East End families. On November 8, we’re having a free mixer for early childhood educators, followed by a party honoring the East End business community on November 14. We’re inviting educators and business owners from across the region to join us!
CMEE’s Ladies Night Out returns on November 13. Thank you to East Hampton Grill for hosting the benefit for the Museum.
I’m delighted that children’s author and CMEE Advisory Council member, Katharine Holabird will return to the Museum on the day after Thanksgiving to present a staged reading of Angelina Ballerina.
Your family won’t want to miss it or any of the other upcoming programs we have scheduled this month. You can read all about them below.
We look forward to seeing you soon at CMEE.
