CMEE will hold its next Pizza & Pajama Night on Friday, July 3 at 6 pm. Young visitors are invited to come to the Museum in their pajama's, have pizza, hear a story read by a guest reader in CMEE's Library, and participate in a special related art activity.
The book to be read is the newest title “Thump, Quack, Moo: A Whacky Adventure” by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin, the creators of the New York Time’s best-selling “Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type” , “Duck for President” and others.
“Thump, Quack, Moo…”, continues the story of Farmer Brown and his barnyard full of insubordinate animals, as Brown excitedly prepares for the annual Corn Maze Festival, trying to enlist the help of the animals. An entertaining, laugh-out-loud story for both readers and listeners alike.
Reviews include: "Once again, Cronin & Lewin get everything right, from the perfectly paced deadpan narrative, to the amusing characterizations, to the vibrant brush and watercolor cartoons that play off and extend the text's humor...Fans will not be disappointed."-- School Library Journal. And: "It's another interspecies battle of wits-and read-aloud winner-from a celebrated duo...This entry...proves that this team continues to operate in top form...The subsidiary characters garner plenty of giggles, too."-- Publishers Weekly
