Baby & Me

“Baby & Me” is a program designed specifically for parents of infants. Moms, dads, and caregivers have the opportunity to meet other parents with children the same age. During the sessions, led by CMEE Educator Leah Oppenheimer, they can hear the latest news about early childhood parenting, discuss developmental milestones, sing to their babies and participate in a variety of playful activities. For parents and their children age 2 to 16 months. Cost: Free for members, $10 for non-members
Wednesday, April 29th
CMEE in the Studio
3:30pm – 4:30pm
“CMEE in the Studio,” is a new art class developed especially for children ages 2 to 5 years old. Meeting on Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, “CMEE in the Studio” will provide children and their caregivers an opportunity to play, explore and create art projects using a variety of media. Designed to foster creativity, literacy, fine motor skills, and decision-making skills, the class runs from April 1 to June 3. Space is limited. Spring Ladies Night

During this month’s Pizza & Pajama night, we’re celebrating the season with a reading of Julie Fogliano’s, “And Then It’s Spring.” After an interactive read aloud of this beautifully illustrated book about patience and anticipation, kids will eat pizza, learn how to create their own mini gardens and enjoy open play in the Museum!

Peconic Family Fun Day!

Please join us on Saturday, May 2nd from 10am to noon for our 6th Annual Peconic Family Fun Day (rain or shine!).
Now in its sixth year, Peconic Family Fun Day offers visitors the opportunity to learn about and celebrate the ecosystems, estuaries, and environments unique to the East End. The event is filled with a host of accessible activities designed to encourage water management, agricultural sustainability, recycling, and environmental stewardship. Those attending will enjoy games, live critters, arts & crafts stations, a seed planting station, taste testing, music, and more. Ages: All ages Cost: Free! Space is limited. Lego Club at CMEE
10am – noon
Join CMEE every Sunday any time between 10am and noon for Lego Club at the museum! We’re excited to share our love of all things Lego with CMEE visitors and encourage children to create original designs. Kids can leave their works-in-progress and plan future sessions with the staff. Ages: Children of all ages. Cost:Free for members, $10 for non-members (includes admission to the Museum).
