CMEE Holiday Club

CMEE is hosting a “drop off” program for children ages 3-6 years. Children will participate in a thematic morning program. They will learn about holidays around the world and enjoy creating a variety of winter crafts. Each morning will include games, story time and a workshop that focuses on cooking, art or science. During the two weeks, your child can construct an igloo, experiment with crazy concoctions, build a birdfeeder with recycled materials and more.  To register, please call Vanessa at 631-537-8250 or email

New Year’s Eve “Ball Drop”

CMEE invites young revelers to join the New Year’s Eve fun too – but at 12 Noon! – at the Museum’s sixth annual New Year’s Eve “Ball Drop” on Tuesday, December 31. Come mark the start of 2014 with a countdown to Noon watching a festive ball drop from CMEE “Square” – in the Museum’s permanent exhibit – complete with celebratory confetti, and sparkling juice. Museum staff will present a workshop to make special holiday noisemakers that day at 11:00 am.  The event is Free to Members and $10 for Non-Members, and includes admission to the Museum. CMEE will close for the holiday following the festivities at 1pm.

Pizza & Pajama Night

As a special treat, author Susan Verde will be visiting CMEE for the evening and will read her book The Museum.  Afterward, children can work together to create a mural masterpiece!

Creation Station – Rubber Band Powered Cars

During the holiday season, CMEE’s workshop will be open to children ages 6–10 years on Saturdays from 10 am to noon.  With guidance from CMEE Educator Alan Geppert, children can have great fun planning, assembling and racing their own rubber band powered cars.  Members $5, Non-Members $15 (Includes Admission).  Limited Space Available.  For reservations, call 631-537-8250 or email

CMEE Play – Magic Snow Science

Children can mix a concoction that looks and feels like snow but does not melt. However, with a little  kitchen chemistry, they can make their snow forms erupt! Members $7, Non-Members $18 (includes admission).
