Cupid’s Community Canvas
9am – 5pm

To celebrate February 14th, the Museum is crafting a very special Valentine and we need your help. Kids (and grownups!) are invited to join us in the lobby for a community craft where we’ll be adding our thumbprints to a giant, heart-shaped canvas. Ages: Families with kids of all ages! Cost: Free for Museum Members, $12 for non-members (cost includes admission to the Museum).

Musikgarten: Clap With Me – SOLD OUT
9:30am – 10:15am

This winter, join Marlene Markard from Markard Music for Musikgarten: Clap With Me! Through singing and rocking, rhythm exercises, traveling movement, active listening, instrument exploration, finger play, and other activities, the 12-week program is designed to prepare your little one for school and lay the foundation for music literacy, music aptitude, and a life-long love of music. Every activity has a specific purpose intended to facilitate your child’s gross and fine motor skill development, cognitive development, physical development, and emotional intelligence.

Baby & Me
11:30am – 12:30pm

“Baby & Me” is designed specifically for parents of infants. Moms, dads, and caregivers have the opportunity to meet other parents with children the same age. During the weekly session they learn the latest news about early childhood parenting, discuss developmental milestones, sing to their babies and participate in a variety of playful activities. For parents and their children age 2 to 16 months (pre-walkers). Cost: Free for members, $12 for non-members. Space is limited and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Tot Spot
10:45am – 11:45am

Your “Baby and Me” grad is happiest when he or she is moving all about and exploring! Celebrate your child’s newfound abilities and their increasing independence with Tot Spot! Led by CMEE’s Education Coordinator, Liz Bard, this weekly program provides toddlers with opportunities to explore, observe, and get moving in a program designed to encourage social emotional skills, fine motor skills and emerging language. Ages: 16 – 36 months. Cost: Free for members, $24 for non-members (includes admission to the Museum). Space is limited and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. After School Lego League
4pm – 5pm

Everything is awesome during our weekly After School Lego League! With instruction and guidance from a member of the Museum’s Play Staff, kids attending this drop-off workshop will put their Lego skills to the test with a new challenge every week. From bridges to zip lines, this program is designed for builders looking to get a little more out of their Lego. Ages: 6 – 10. Cost: Free for members. $12 for non-members (includes admission to the Museum). Space is limited and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Peaceful Planet Playgroups
9:30am – 10:15am

This winter, families are invited to join us for a kid-friendly yoga-style playgroup led by Peaceful Planet Yoga‘s Kristin Davey. Through animated games and songs, kids will enhance their listening, concentration, and cooperation skills while developing coordination, balance, and verbal abilities. Playful props such as scarves, pom-poms, yoga blocks and bells are incorporated to explore yoga poses in fun, challenging, and accessible ways. Each class ends with breath-work, simple meditations and savasana. Ages: Walkers to 3 years. Cost (6-week series): $90 for Museum Members, $110 for non-members. Sunday, February 19th

Lego Club at the Children’s Museum
10am – noon

Join us every Sunday any time between 10am and noon for Lego Club at the Museum! We’re excited to share our love of all things Lego with Museum visitors and encourage children to create original designs. Kids can leave their works-in-progress and plan future sessions with the staff. Ages: Children of all ages. Cost:Free for members, $12 for non-members (includes admission to the Museum).

We have thousands of Lego, but can always use more. To help the Museum continue to build this program, we are looking for Lego donations! Please call 631-537-8250 to donate!
