Kids Club

Looking for a unique and fun learning and socialization experience for your 3-5 year old? Try our half-day Kids Club! Children participate in a variety of creative activities including storytime, arts, nature walks and exploring, music and movement, cooking and baking, group games and free play in the museum…all while learning to cooperate and share in an informal, yet structured environment. Ages: 3 – 5. Cost: $275/week for members, $300/week for non-members.

Gentle Separation Option
9:00am – 10:30am (sold out)

Designed to support children (aged 30 – 36 months) as they gain self-confidence and develop independence in a safe, stimulating, and structured environment. Ages: 30 – 36 months. Cost: $200/week for members; $250/week for non-members.

Swaddle Waddle

CMEE is thrilled to, once again, offer NYC-based Swaddle Waddle this summer. This unique class offers a combination of development and music activities with an emphasis on educational exercise. Classes are tailored based on the age group and will introduce new activities each week.

Tuesday, July 29th

CMEE Play! In The Kitchen
9:30am – 10:15am (sold out) & 11am – 11:45am

“In the Kitchen” is a fun, hands-on workshop dedicated to providing parents fun, quality time with their child as well as the opportunity to create delicious, healthy recipes. Using seasonal, organic produce generously donated by Balsam Farms, children practice a variety of fine motor skills such as mixing, measuring, pouring, weighing, stirring and mashing while learning about nutrition, making new friends and experiencing new tastes. Ages: 2 – 4 years. Cost: $150 for members/$160 for non-members (cost includes $15 material fee)

Spanish Immersion
3pm – 5pm

In this language immersion program, children practice their Spanish speaking skills while singing songs, playing games, creating original works of art, and making new friends at CMEE. Taught by a CMEE Educator and native-Spanish speaker, this program makes it fun for your child to improve his or her ability to communicate in Spanish. Ages: 5 – 7 years. Cost: $300 for members/$330 for non-members.

Wednesday, July 30th

CMEE Play! – In The Garden
9:30am – 10:15am (sold out) & 11am – 11:45am

In this farm-to-table program, children will be introduced to the plant life cycle and other basic elements of sustainable gardening. Each week, families tend CMEE’s community garden and enjoy songs, stories and projects related to gardening. Some activities include: cooking with vegetables and herbs that they harvest themselves, visiting Madoo Conservancy (during the second week of each session), and various art projects using items from the garden and local farm stands. Ages: 2 – 4 years. Cost: $150 for members/$160 for non-members (cost includes $15 material fee).

Baby & Me
10:30am – 11:30am

“Baby & Me” is a program designed specifically for parents of infants. Moms, dads, and caregivers have the opportunity to meet other parents with children the same age. During the sessions, they hear the latest news about early childhood parenting, discuss developmental milestones, sing to their babies and participate in a variety of activities. Ages: 2 months – 16 months. Cost: Free for members, $60 for non-members.

Thursday, July 31st

CMEE PLAY! – Art

This weekly family class is all about creative discovery and introducing children to basic visual concepts such as line, shape, color and texture. During each session, we’ll practice tearing, cutting, mixing, pouring, pinching and more as we make original pieces with varied media and everyday objects. Ages: 2 – 4 years. Cost: $150 for members/$160 for non-members (cost includes $15 material fee).

Friday, August 1st

Yummy Yoga

It’s never too early to salute the sun. CMEE has teamed up with Jen Proudman of Yummy Yoga NYC for a yoga class designed specifically for families. In this weekly workshop, families enjoy a fun, imaginative approach to yoga that is great for developing minds and bodies. Classes include a mix of yoga, music, dance, games, storytelling and art. Ages: 2 – 6 years. Cost: $135 for members, $145 for non-members.

Music Together by the Dunes

Pizza & Pajama Night @ Bridge Gardens
6PM – 7:30PM

The first Friday of every month is Pizza and Pajama Night at CMEE! This month, kids are in for a special treat…we’re headed to Bridge Gardens in Bridgehamptons. After a pizza dinner, kids will enjoy a scavenger hunt around the five-acre public garden where they’ll look for sculptures, ponds, flowers and more! Ages: Families w/ children age 2 -10 years. Cost: Free for members, $10 for non-members.

Saturday, August 2nd

CMEE in the Studio: Erling Hope & Family Portraits
10:00am – 11:30AM

How do we look at each other, as daughters and sons, mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers? How do we see each other? How do we capture a likeness? Join two generations of artists–with Leif, Erling and Sorren Hope–as they explore playful ways to draw and paint each other’s portraits. This CMEE in the Studio is part of Grandparents Day here at CMEE, but families are more than welcome (and encouraged!) to attend! Ages: 6 and up. Cost: $15 for members, $25 for non-members (cost includes museum admission).

Lego Club
10:00am – noon

Join CMEE every Sunday from 10am – noon for Lego Club at the museum! We’re excited to share our love of all things Lego with CMEE visitors and encourage children to create original designs. Kids can leave their works-in-progress and plan future sessions with the staff. Ages: Children of all ages. Cost: Free.
