Swaddle Waddle – Baby
9:30 or 10:30am

Swaddle Waddle Baby – “Movement & Minds” – This 45 min class offers a unique combination of the “best of” classes by combining development, music and educational exercises for our little ones. A typical class includes fun shakers and noise-makers, yoga/stretching, parachutes, animal flashcards, storytime and even a special appearance from a trombone! Our teachers have taught at some of NYC’s favorite places including Appleseeds, Three Little Birds and Music for Aardvarks!

Clay Play
10:30am

With the guidance of experienced potter, children will explore the possibilities of working with clay, using their hands and basic pottery tools. They will bring home glazed and fired clay creations that will last for years to come.

Language at Play

CMEE is pleased to present a special six-week language-immersion program for children aged 3 to 6 in collaboration with the Ross School.  Classes are offered in Spanish or Mandarin. This drop-off program features structured activities including cooking, gardening, art, and science, as well as time for guided free play. The educators facilitate language immersion throughout the program by encouraging the children to interact with each other and describe their play verbally. In addition, the educators will encourage developmentally appropriate play and positive social skills.

Roots & Shoots

Children will participate in the tending of a community garden at CMEE. One class per session will be held at the Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack! Also in the mix: classes will include songs, stories and art projects themed to the wonders of a backyard garden.

MoonSoup returns to CMEE again this summer! With a curriculum based on creativity, fun, imagination and interactive learning, children enjoy a lively mix of age-appropriate art, music, drumming, story time, puppets, and sensory & active play.

Twirligig Tuesday – Peter & The Wolf

Young company members from “Miss Sara’s” Hampton Ballet Theater will perform Prokofiev’s timelessly appealing and magical ballet. The performance will be accompanied by the 25-piece Hampton Chamber Orchestra…an extra delight! A very special annual family event for all ages!

Little Chefs
9:30 or 10:30am

Have fun working with a professional chef as you and your child create delicious and healthy recipes. The menu includes homemade pasta, fresh fruit mini-pies, salads, fruit smoothies, quesadillas and more! Introduce your child to new tastes and the joys of cooking!

Language at Play

Art Adventures
9:30 or 10:30am

This age appropriate class for children 2 years and older is all about creative adventure and discovery. Children will get to make original pieces through guided experimentation with basic art media and everyday objects. Activities include rolling pin painting, watercolor “tie-dye,” cookie cutter printmaking and more.

Gymboree Babies
9:30am

Babies Class (sitters, cruisers, beginning walkers): Build strength through play with ramps, slides and climbers.  Play environment encourages discovery, balance and coordination. Music and parachute activities included.

Gymboree Toddlers
10:30 or 11:30am

Toddler Class (walkers and runners): Explore play environment, movement games and parachute activities in this mixed-age class designed to support physical, social and language development.

Friday, August 2

Funtastic Science
9:30 or 10:30am

Join us each week when CMEE becomes a science laboratory for young children. Through play, experimentation, and facilitated exploration, children learn about the states of matter, buoyancy, propulsion, and motion. They will get to create concoctions, make and play with their boats (and try to sink them), play with ramps and things that roll.

Music Together by the Dunes
9:30 or 10:30am

This joyful early childhood music program has generations of fans across the globe and instills a lifelong love of music and happy memories! It’s a delightful way to share music with your child and meet new friends.

Pizza & Pajama Night
6pm

Enjoy a reading of Eric Carle’s, The Very Lonely Firefly. In this uplifting story, a lonely firefly goes out into the night to search for friends. On his journey, he finds many different things that glow in the night but he continues his search until he finally finds other fireflies.  Children will get to create their own Eric Carle inspired Firefly night light by decorating a plastic mason jar with tissue paper and other items. The light will offer a warm summer glow as it will be powered by an LED tea light.

Lego Club
10am

Join us every Saturday from 10am-12 noon for Lego Club at CMEE!  Your child can construct works of art using the thousands of Legos at The Museum.  To help CMEE continue to build this program, we are looking for Lego donations!

Early Birdies
10:30am

In the Early Birdie classes, students discover and explore while we introduce the game of golf in an environment that is dynamic and child-centered. Our Early Birdies will cultivate their excitement for the game while developing the necessary physical and golf-specific skills that will enhance their enjoyment of the sport.
