Music Together by the Dunes

10:30am

Join us in this popular Early childhood Music and Movement program for children newborn through age 5 and their Parents or Caregivers. Singing, dancing, rhythmic chants, instrument play and movement are explored in a fun, educational environment. Songbook, CD’s, newsletters and parent guide w/DVD are included with tuition.

The Music Together Babies class is a program for entering infants between the ages of birth and nine months. It starts babies on a pathway of music development that will allow them to embrace, enjoy, and express their inborn musicality. Whether or not your child’s journey leads to formal music study is a choice for another day – for now, the particular delight of this class is seeing how truly responsive to music babies are and discovering how to recognize and support their developing music behaviors.

Art Adventures Introductory Class
11am

This summer CMEE will offer ART ADVENTURES, an age appropriate class for children 2 years and older that is all about creative exploration and discovery.  The class will be led by Liz Bard, one of CMEE’s new educators

Children will have fun, and get a little messy, making original piece through guided experimentation with basic art media and everyday objects. Activities include: mixing art concoctions, painting with rolling pins, printmaking with cookie cutters and other objects, collage and more.

Give the class a try on Saturday, June 22 at 11am. Children will enjoy a read aloud of Frank Asch’s The Earth and I, a beautifully illustrated book about caring for our Earth. Next, they will experiment with liquid watercolors and a variety of surfaces by using everyday items as painting tools.
