CMEE Play! Cinnamon Dough Ornaments
10:00am – 10:45am

By combining just a few simple household ingredients, we’ll teach kids how to make their own aromatic ornaments! Children will measure, pour, mix, knead, and finally roll out their newly created dough. Then, using a variety of shapes we have at the Museum, they’ll “cut” out their ornament. This sweet-smelling homemade gift is perfect for teachers, babysitters, and grandparents alike. Please Note: The ornaments will need to be taken home and baked or air dried to completely set. Ages: Families with children, ages 2 – 6. Cost: $15 for members, $25 for non-members (includes admission to the Museum). Space is limited. For reservations, please call the Museum at 631.537.8250 or register online.

Kids Create – Fantastic Figurines With Model Magic
10:00am – 11:00am

Working with Crayola’s Model Magic, kids in this drop-off workshop will create their own colorful fantasy figurines. Come with an idea in mind—a Pegasus, a dinosaur…maybe a robot?—or work with a CMEE educator to create something completely unique! While this workshop doesn’t require previous experience with clay, it does require children work fairly independently. Kids who would prefer a little extra help are welcome to invite their parent or caregiver to join the class. Ages: Children aged 6 – 10. Cost: $10 for members, $15 for non-members (does not include admission to the museum). Space is limited. For reservations, please call the Museum at 631.537.8250 or register online.

CMEE brings the fantastical sights of the bigtop to you on the last Sunday of every month!

Children will mix a batter made of all natural ingredients and while waiting for the finished product—Belgian waffles in amazing circus shapes—they’ll be able to slice their own strawberries and bananas. Then they’ll get to top it all off with whipped cream they make themselves. Fun for kids, delicious for everyone! Ages: Kids of all ages! Cost: $7 members, $20 non-members (includes admission to the Museum). Space is limited. For reservations, please call the Museum at 631.537.8250 or register online.
