Baby and Me

“Baby & Me” is a program designed specifically for parents of infants. Every Tuesday (when the Museum is closed to the public), moms, dads, and caregivers can have the opportunity to meet other parents with children the same age. During the sessions, led by CMEE Educator Leah Oppenheimer, they can hear the latest news about early childhood parenting, discuss developmental milestones, sing to their babies and participate in a variety of playful activities. For parents and their children age 2 to 16 months. October Schedule: 10/14, 10/21, 10/29. Cost: Free for members, $10/non-members. Space is limited. Music Together by the Dunes

This joyful early childhood music program has generations of fans across the globe and instills a lifelong love of music and happy memories! Pizza & Pajama Night
6:00pm – 7:30pm

November’s Pizza & Pajama night is all about fall’s fantastic foliage! A CMEE Educator will read Lois Elhert’s Leaf Man—”A Leaf Man’s got to go where the wind blows”—and lead children (and their parents) in a craft utilizing fabric leaves to create a collage that will last for years to come. Afterwards, kids will enjoy open play in the Museum! Ages: Families w/ children age 2 – 10 years Cost: Free for members, $10 for non-members (includes museum admission) Space is limited. Saturday, November 8th

Shinnecock Dancers Workshop
10:30am – 11:30am

Please join us in our Amphitheater for a special event with the Shinnecock Dancers. Metauqus Tarrant along with other members of the Shinnecock Nation will present a dance workshop for families with children of all ages. Members of the dance group will don native attire as they present an interactive workshop influenced by their traditional dances. Ages: Families with children of all ages. Lego Club at CMEE
10:00am – noon

Join CMEE every Sunday from 10am – noon for Lego Club at the museum! We’re excited to share our love of all things Lego with CMEE visitors and encourage children to create original designs. Kids can leave their works-in-progress and plan future sessions with the staff. Ages: Children of all ages. Cost:Free for members, $10 for non-members.

Community Scrollathon at the Parrish Art Museum
10:30am – 2pm

The Parrish Art Museum, the Children’s Museum of the East End, and The Watermill Center invite families to create and collaborate at this multifaceted program of art, music, and dance. 10:30 – 1:00pm: Create colorful textile scrolls with exhibiting artists, Steven and William Ladd, build instruments and perform with Bash the Trash, and weave recycled materials into art, inspired by exhibiting artist, Alan Shields, with CMEE. 1:00pm – 2:00pm: Experience dance and movement with The Watermill Center’s artist-in-residence, El Colegio del Cuerpo. Rain or shine. Free with Museum admission to the Parrish. Please Note: This event takes place at the Parrish Art Museum, located at 279 Montauk Highway in Water Mill.
