I hope you and your family are healthy and happy despite these critical circumstances! Even though we’ve had to temporarily close the Museum’s doors to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Museum’s commitment to families in our community is unbroken!
Unfortunately, the Children’s Museum is losing $10,000 every week while we’re closed. To help us weather the incredible economic uncertainty that the COVID-19 crisis has brought, I urge you to consider making a donation to CMEE today.
In addition to helping sustain the Children’s Museum through this emergency, your investment will enable us to continue serving hundreds of marginalized families who count on us. For example –
- Even though we can’t meet in person, we’re still running our Ciencia en CMEE afterschool classes for Spanish-speaking students using Zoom. While the students are participating in the science workshops, their parents are participating in online ESL classes.
- During school closures, CMEE has developed an array of resources for parents and caregivers who are desperate for guidance on how to home school their children.
- Dozens of our members don’t even have the resources to feed their children for the next two weeks. To alleviate this crisis, CMEE is collaborating with social service partners and local farms to provide families with healthy produce.
One way you can help is by renewing your membership, even if it’s not yet expired! We’ll reward your support with an extra three months of benefits.
Please don’t hesitate to email me at Steve@CMEE.org if you have any questions or suggestions on how CMEE can address the vital needs of families in our community. I am very grateful for your consideration and continued support!
