Camouflage Exploration

Camouflage is the disguising of an object to make it blend in with its surroundings.  Animals blend into their environments so they cannot be seen in order to keep themselves safe!

Hide your child’s little toy critters all around the yard (Pro Tip: write down how many and where you hid them. You will forget.)  Ask your child why some toys are easier to find than others.  How does camouflage help animals in the wild?  What are some animals or insects you can think of that use camouflage? Here a few great examples!
