Prior to temporarily closing the Museum in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CMEE had already maintained the highest possible level of cleanliness to ensure the safety of our guests:
- During our hours of operation, full-time custodians wipe down and clean all surfaces throughout the Museum.
- When the Museum is closed, additional custodians conduct a top-to-bottom cleaning of the exhibit galleries, art studio, bathrooms, classrooms, and lobby.
- Every day, all exhibit materials are rotated, replacing play vegetables, balls, Legos, etc. with a new set while the original set gets cleaned.
- Signage placed throughout the Museum encourages children and grownups to use our hand sanitizing stations upon entering and before leaving.
During our temporarily closure, the staff has given the Museum a “deep cleaning.” Any surface, object, or handle that the public can come in contact with has been disinfected. Once we are welcomed back, we will continue to demonstrate this level of care so that your family can remain confident when visiting the Museum.
