Family Events & Workshops

The Children’s Museum is pleased to offer Sensory Friendly Mornings for families with children on the autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders. In addition to enjoying auditory and visual reductions in the exhibits, quiet rooms, and an intentionally less-crowded Museum, families can participate in an intentionally-designed guided activity that celebrates both independence and inclusion.

Celebrate the season with a visit to one of the largest apple orchards on the South Fork, the Milk Pail’s U-Pick Farm. During the annual event, kids will pick a variety of in-season apples as well as their very own pumpkin!* Following an autumn-themed read aloud and a scavenger hunt, families will enjoy apple cider and freshly made donuts.

Saturday….SATURDAY…SATURDAAAAY (October 23), join us for the return of BIG TRUCK DAY @ the Children’s Museum! During this wildly popular event, kids (and their grownups!) will explore and interact with some of the massive machines that share our roads and keep the East End moving!
