Letter From the Director – December 2011

Dear Friends,

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. CMEE was delighted to celebrate the holiday last Thursday by serving as the venue for a special Thanksgiving Dinner organized by Ross School student, Jordan Bacher for twenty families from the Retreat. You can learn more about Jordan’s inspiring story in this month’s newsletter. Speaking of giving thanks, CMEE is very grateful to System Designs of Southampton for volunteering their staff for an entire day to help clean up the electronic and technology systems at the Museum and paint some of our exhibits!

Volunteers are vital to the success of the Museum and we are always looking for people who are interested in contributing their time and skills to the Museum. No matter your background, CMEE can use your expertise. You can learn about all of the different volunteer opportunities on CMEE’s website. If you’re interested in volunteering at CMEE, please contact Christine@cmee.org.

Thank you for making 2011 such a successful year for CMEE. Your contributions, memberships, and attendance made an enormous difference for the Museum. This fall, we were thrilled to launch a new series of classes for new parents and expectant moms under the direction of Michelle Kelly. Later this month, we’re hosting a “Toys for Tots” drive and our annual gingerbread house decorating workshops on December 17, followed by my favorite way to ring in the New Year: CMEE’s “Ball Drop” at Noon on December 31! This month’s newsletter has more details.

Happy holidays! I hope you receive everything you wish for this season; we certainly have a big wish list at CMEE!

Sincerely,
Stephen Long
Executive Director
