Dear Friend,

This past weekend, I spent hours at the Children’s Museum playing with my two sons. We painted, pretended to be firefighters, built a fort, experimented with wind power, and read a bunch of books… We had a blast!

As much as I enjoy learning through play with my children, what’s really meaningful to me about the Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE) is our commitment to ensuring that ALL CHILDREN – regardless of income, background or ability – have the opportunity to play and learn. CMEE is the only museum on Long Island or New York City where families who use the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can visit for free using their EBT card. Over 700 EBT cardholders came to the Museum in the past year!

We realize that to serve the community, you need to be in the community. That’s why we launched our “Museum without Walls” initiative, which brings “learning through play” directly to families who can’t visit the Museum because of language, income or transportation barriers.

By making a gift to CMEE today, you can help us bring educational programming to dozens of community organizations across the East End, including the Retreat, Riverside Rediscovered, the Shinnecock Reservation, and the South Shore Homeless Shelter. Thank you for helping make a tremendous difference for underserved families in our community.

Your gift is instrumental in enabling us to achieve our mission: “to spark imagination and foster learning for children of all backgrounds and abilities and build strong connections within the East End community by providing playful experiences.” If you have any thoughts about how we can expand our service to families in the community, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. As always, I am grateful for your investment in the Children’s Museum.

Wishing your family Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
