CMEE introduces its Summer Educators

CMEE is pleased to welcome a new crew of educators for this summer’s programming!

  • On Mondays, Lynn Leff (lynnleff.com) is teaching Clay Play. When she is not teaching at CMEE, she spends much of her time working in her Water Mill studio or at Mud Sweat and Tears in New York City.
  • “Roots & Shoots” gardening class will be taught on Tuesdays by Emily Herrick who joins us after 5+ years of facilitating children’s programs at the Hamptons Library. In addition to teaching, Emily manages the farmers market at the Hayground School with her husband.
  • Professional chef and elementary school teacher, Alan Geppert is leading “Little Chefs,” our Wednesday cooking class.
  • On Thursdays, Liz Bard is teaching “Art Adventures.” A graduate student in Long Island University’s Teacher Education program, Liz is also one of the instructors along with Ross School teacher Ou Wang for “Language of Play” in Mandarin. They are joined by Tricia Corigliano, who will co-teach “Language of Play” in Spanish with Ross language educator Tiffany Best. Like Liz, Tricia is a Teacher Education graduate student at LIU.
  • Andrea VanDyke will guide experimental fun in “Funtastic Science” every Friday morning. After graduating from SUNY at Oneonta, Andrea received her NYS certification in Elementary Education.

All of CMEE’s educators are excited to help your children learn through play this summer!
