MEET THE MUSEUM’S NEW DIRECTOR OF MARKETING, TIFFANY STEWART

 

Tiffany is no stranger to the East End. Although she spent the past 10 years primarily based in New York City, she not only graduated from Bridgehampton School but grew up less than a mile from the Museum. Since joining the team in March 2018, Tiffany has been tackling the Museum’s marketing efforts head on.

Can you tell us a little about your role at the Museum?

It’s a little difficult to explain what I do exactly because I do a little bit of everything. On any given day, I’m updating our social media accounts, creating brochures, working on e-mail correspondence, revamping the website, meeting with the other staff members on upcoming events; the list is endless. However, that’s the great part of working here. Everyone does everything and there’s no such thing as a dull day.

You’ve only been with us for a short while, but what’s your experience been like so far?

On one hand, it has felt like one big homecoming because I’ve seen so many families that I grew up with or worked with during my summer visits home. On the other hand, it has been exciting to work with a group of unique people with so many great ideas and experiences that has helped me view my beloved community from a new perspective.

What impact do you hope to make on the Museum?

I want all of the families in the community to feel welcomed. I remember when they first built the Museum and unfortunately, I was too old to truly enjoy it. When I was younger, the only places we really had were the Childcare Center, the public library and Mashashimuet park. I want every families to know that this is a safe space for your children to play, learn, grow and enjoy together. My goal is to have a family come for the first time and they enjoy themselves so much that it’s difficult to leave. That would mean I’ve done a great job.
