“In the Kitchen” is a fun, hands-on workshop designed to provide parents with fun, quality time with their child, as well as the opportunity to create delicious, healthy recipes. Using seasonal, organic produce generously donated by local farms, children practice a variety of fine motor skills such as mixing, measuring, pouring, weighing, stirring and mashing while learning about nutrition, making new friends, and experiencing new tastes.
The goal of this kids’ cooking program is not only to have fun with food but also to teach the fundamentals of cooking. Program includes an apron, curriculum guide, and take-home extension activities.
