Musikgarten: Dance With Me

Through singing and rocking, rhythm exercises, traveling movement, active listening, instrument exploration, finger play, and other activities, this 10-week program is designed to prepare your little one for school and lay the foundation for music literacy, music aptitude, and a life-long love of music. Baby & Me
11:30am – 12:30pm

“Baby & Me” is designed specifically for parents of infants. Moms, dads, and caregivers have the opportunity to meet other parents with children the same age. During the weekly session, led by Museum Educator Leah Oppenheimer, they can hear the latest news about early childhood parenting, discuss developmental milestones, sing to their babies and participate in a variety of playful activities. Walk in Their Shoes
Presented by East End SEPTO and hosted at CMEE, this workshop helps you understand life with a learning difference. Through lively and thought-provoking interactive activities, attendees will build awareness and sensitivity to better understand the challenges some students experience in the classroom. Some of the differences to be addressed include challenges with reading, sensory processing, fine motor and visual motor skills.

Your “Baby and Me” grad is happiest when he or she is moving all about and exploring! Celebrate your child’s newfound abilities and their increasing independence with Tot Spot! Led by the Museum’s Education Coordinator, Liz Bard, this weekly program provides toddlers with opportunities to explore, observe, and get moving in a program designed to encourage social emotional skills, fine motor skills and emerging language. Ages: Parents and caregivers with children age 16 to 36 months. Cost: Free for Museum Members, $24 for non-members (includes admission to the Museum). Promote a lifelong love of music while preparing your child for success in learning a musical instrument! Using music from around the world as a backdrop, the 10-week program cultivates music literacy through dance, movement, singing, instrument exploration, tonal and rhythmic patterns, active listening, imaginative play, and more! Music Together By The Dunes

This joyful early childhood music program has generations of fans across the globe and instills a lifelong love of music and happy memories! It’s a delightful way to share music with your child and meet new friends. During this incredible world renowned research-based music and movement program, families enjoy singing, dancing, rhythm and tonal patterns, instrument play, improvisational music play and rhymes. Lego Club at the Children’s Museum
10am – noon

Join us every Sunday any time between 10am and noon for Lego Club at the Museum! We’re excited to share our love of all things Lego with Museum visitors and encourage children to create original designs. Kids can leave their works-in-progress and plan future sessions with the staff. Ages: Children of all ages. Cost: Free for Museum Members, $12 for non-members (includes admission to the Museum).
