The Children’s Museum and Amber Waves Farm are delighted to partner this summer on Farm Club! Meeting Monday – Friday at the Farm, this drop-off program introduces kids to East End agriculture through a combination of hands-on experiences—feeding chickens, collecting eggs, and tending crops in the field—plus creative play and educational enrichment.

It’s never too early to learn about farming! During this weekly class, kids (and their caregivers) will join Museum and Amber Waves educators for a program designed for young learners eager to explore the ins and outs of a working East End farm!

Led by educators with Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and facilitated by college students pursuing the arts, Kids Club is designed to ensure that kids are engaged, active, and getting the most out of their summer.

From Monday, July 1 to Friday, August 30, join founder & director Aaron Goldschmidt and Shine’s Hamptons’ staff (all educators or certified teachers!) as they run the fifth year of their innovative creative arts camp celebrating all things East End!

We’re excited to partner with Bridge Gardens and the Peconic Land Trust again this summer for “In the Garden”! During this farm-to-table program, children will be introduced to the plant life cycle and other basic elements of sustainable gardening.

This summer, join us for Pizza and Putt-Putt Night at the Museum! During this special event, kids will enjoy pizza and then hit the links for a round (or two) on our science-themed mini golf course.

In The Studio

Thursdays @ 9:15AM-10AM

This weekly family class is all about creative discovery and introducing children to basic visual concepts such as line, shape, color and texture. During each session, we’ll practice tearing, cutting, mixing, pouring, pinching and more as we make original pieces with varied media and everyday objects.

Clay Play

Thursdays @ 10:30AM-11:15AM

With the guidance of an experienced potter, these pottery classes for kids will help them explore the possibilities of working with clay. Using their hands and basic pottery tools, they’ll design, shape, and glaze a variety of different projects.

This summer, we’re thrilled to welcome Broadway Bees to the Museum! Each week, toddlers (and their caregivers) will enjoy a little taste of musical theatre as we explore our favorite show tunes using props, instruments, games, and interactive stories.

Lego Club

Sundays @ 10AM-12:00PM

Join CMEE every Sunday any time between 10am and noon for Lego Club at the Museum! We’re excited to share our love of all things Lego with CMEE visitors and encourage children to create original designs. Kids can leave their works-in-progress and plan future sessions with the staff.
